The ranking

  1. 1. Postbye

    Our pick$23.99 once

A letter is the route for when the online cancel option is not enough: the button is hard to find, the charge keeps coming, or the company says it never heard from you. Postbye writes the letter in your name and mails it to the company’s address from its database. “We mail yours by certified mail and send you the proof of delivery.” Its streaming guides cover video, music, sports and audio services and show what to check first, such as a plan billed through a phone carrier, an app store or a TV provider. Signed proof is +$13.99 at checkout, and its money-back guarantee applies within 10 business days if it cannot get the subscription cancelled.

  2. 2. Rocket Money

    $7 to $14 a month

Rocket Money’s team cancels subscriptions for Premium members, pay-what-you-choose and typically $7 to $14 a month, usually in 2 to 10 days, for the providers it supports. Its help pages say subscriptions billed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku or PayPal must be cancelled on that platform, so a plan you pay through your iPhone or your Roku is one you cancel yourself. It may also ask for your login to the streaming service.

About DoNotPay

DoNotPay lists cancelling subscriptions among more than 100 tools but does not say which streaming services it covers. Its pricing page shows no price (it says it is “in recess”), and its plans renew on their own and must be cancelled 48 hours before renewal.

From donotpay.com, as of November 2026.

Before you cancel a streaming plan

  • Check who bills you. A plan paid through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku or a phone carrier can need cancelling with that partner too. Postbye’s streaming guides say what to check for each service.
  • Mind the renewal date. Streaming plans renew on the same day every month and usually stay active until the end of the period you already paid for, so the date of your request matters more than the date you stop watching.
  • Keep the record. A confirmation email, or the delivery record of a certified letter, is what you show if the next charge arrives anyway.
  • Comparing apps rather than services? See the best app to cancel subscriptions.

How we ranked them

We ranked services that cancel a streaming plan for you on price, how they cancel, the streaming services they cover, the proof you get, turnaround and refunds. A mailed letter with a dated delivery record ranks first; then services with a stated price and turnaround, where Rocket Money ranks above Hiatus; then BillSaved, whose calls you must join. DoNotPay is in the table for reference.

Every fact comes from each service’s own pages, read in November 2026. For alternatives to Rocket Money across all subscriptions, see Rocket Money alternatives. Our criteria are on How we rank.

Questions

Can someone cancel Netflix for me?

Yes. Postbye mails a cancellation letter to Netflix in your name for $23.99 once, and Netflix is among the 442 streaming and entertainment companies it covers. Rocket Money’s team can cancel for Premium members if Netflix bills you directly; its help pages use Netflix as an example.

Do I have to give my streaming password?

Not to Postbye: it needs your name, address and email as they appear on the account, and no passwords or logins. Rocket Money’s help pages say it may ask for your username or password when the details you gave do not match an account.

Why can’t a service cancel a plan I pay through my iPhone?

Plans billed through Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Roku are managed by that platform. Rocket Money’s help pages say those must be cancelled there, and Postbye’s streaming guides note that an app-store or carrier plan can need a second cancellation with that partner.
